Here at Inkfinity we carry out cosmetic treatments that we promote on our website as ‘permanent makeup’.
We are, however, aware that there exists some confusion between ‘semi-permanent makeup’ and ‘permanent makeup’.
Makeup… it can be called semi-permanent makeup, PMU, cosmetic tattooing, micro pigmentation, permanent cosmetics as well as permanent makeup. These words all describe the same thing. They all implant pigment into the dermal layer of the skin where the colour stays until, in time, it eventually fades.
For this reason the procedure, if properly carried out by the trained technician, can be permanent but the treatment needs colour top ups on roughly a yearly basis depending on the clients individual skin. Eventually skin, through exfoliation and renewal, plus other internal and external factors (such as medication or sun exposure) will loose the pigmentation that created the brow, eyeliner and lip enhancement.
We hope that we have cleared up any possible confusion over the various names to describe these fabulous treatments that are our passion at Inkfinity Makeup. Should you have any more questions regarding permanent makeup procedures, please visit our FAQs page or get in touch directly.
We hope to see you soon.
